Arirang Korean Restaurant in Tampa

Seafood pancakes were good. People were ok. So 3 stars. Ordered Jjajangmyun (black noodle). Tasted like they used premade sauce you buy from Asian grocery store. And too much of it thus salty and one of the worst I had so far. Eat something else. Over priced also. It is not authentic Jjajangmyun.

Great service. Misook is funny and personal. We really enjoyed the food.

What a great place! From ambiance to service to food! All 5 stars! My father wanted 3 Korean dishes. He had not had Korean food since 1978 and while on holiday visiting us, this was his request. After doing a Google search this was the only place that had all 3 dishes. So we drove 55 minutes and I am so glad we did! We were greeted warmly and promptly by the owners and seated straight away. Misook, the owner was lovely. She made us feel so welcomed. We ordered and food arrived quickly. It was all homemade and authentic. Just what my father was looking for. Misook made it a point to stop and chat with us all for a bit. After we paid our bill she hugged us all and thanked us. We of course thanked her back. This is a wonderful place for so many reasons and we will definitely come here again soon!! Thank you so much Misook for your hospitality , warmness and great food!

Went to Arirang for a late afternoon lunch, and were treated incredibly well by the staff! It felt like visiting caring family members. We ordered the beef bulgogi, kimchi pancake, and bibimbap in a stone bowl, and the food was incredible! Much better than the Korean spots in St. Pete, the food was fresh, the meat wass tender and lean (good cuts), and the bibimbap was deliciously crispy-crunchy. Try the potato salad, it's got a sweet touch to it! 10/10 would recommend. Definitely going back!

This is the best customer service I have ever had in my life! The server/owner was so nice and gave her best to satisfy my table, and all of the other customers! The food is amazing, and authentic.

Not only was the food very delicious and fresh. The restaurant itself is beautiful clean & very nice environment. The staff was amazing and I cannot believe how great I was attended, I felt at home. Overall absolutely great place. I recommend! Best korean food in central Florida & great service. 🙂

Authentic Korean food. I love this restaurant. Every time I come to Tampa I must eat here. Customer service is excellent and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Just what I need when I miss South Korea, food for my soul.

I went here for lunch with my MacDill crew. Our meal was very satisfying and delicious. I loved every part of it. The tofu was especially good.

Very hospitable restaurant with a simple, yet homie feel environment. I had the "hot stone bi bim bap" and it was delicious, especially the layer of crunchy white rice that forms at the bottom of the plate. They have different tea options, but we tried their cinnamon flavored tea. We had it after our dinner and it left a very pleasant feeling, since it seemed to help our food settle. The Waitress and other staff members were very attentive as well. Recommended for everyone!

My wife and I stopped in for dinner. We enjoyed the friendly service, and home-style feel that other reviewers have mentioned. The owner and servers created a welcoming atmosphere. I removed one star for the following reason, the pricing is much higher than I would expect for a restaurant like this. For two people, only drinking water and dinner (after tip, 20%) exceeded $75. However, the food was very tasty and felt worth it. Still, I can't help but feel its a little too pricey.

Don't judge the restaurant by the sign! It may be worse for wear, but the food and friendly service were wonderful! My wife enjoyed bibimbap in a stone bowl with bulgogi on top, and it was delicious. My galbi were tender and rich, and the pickles and kimchi were varied and delicious. I could taste the charcoal they were grilled over, which I was surprised at (never noticed it before. My kids are enjoying spicier foods, so a little gochujang makes everything better!Bottom line, it's great. Korean food is done of the best in the world, and you'll enjoy it here without a doubt.

What a wonderful experience! A limited, but very nice selection of Korean food, we got kimchi fried rice and the kimichi with beef, the later was different than any other Korean dish I’ve had before it came in a savory tomato sauce with just a touch of spice. We also got a kimchi pancake that was delightful. The homemade ginger tea was soothing and a little cinnamon tea after the meal was relaxing. The owners were vibrant and so hospitable and helpful. It was really a wonderful experience!

Small family restaurant. The best Korean food around. They even have an optional take out menu. Vegetarian friendly. This has become my favorite place for a treat meal. The inside is well taken care of too. Will be visiting again.

Miso (the owner) and Todd are absolute gems! The food is authentic Korean. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Everything is made fresh and to order. We have a gluten allergy and dairy allergy, and it was easy to find things to eat on the menu. 1000% recommend!

This was the kind of bulgogi I was hoping for. Staff was really nice. It's a small cozy restaurant. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant is amazing! It has incredible food. It is family owned and guests are treated like they are part of the family. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Did I mention the food is phenomenal with large portions? It is definitely one of my favs in South Tampa.

Chicken bulgogi was yummy. The waitress recommended the ginger tea, which was excellent.

This is a little spot off the beaten track. We walked in a little before 5 and the place was totally empty. No problem, it was early on a Saturday. The place is nice if a bit shabby. The menu is extensive and lots of options. We ordered potstickers to start and then ordered a few other dishes I can't remember the names. Food was a bit slow in coming and each dish came out one at a time instead of all meals together. I feel like they were short staffed and it was difficult to get our water glasses filled. The lady who owns it was super nice and came over and chatted after. The food was only ok. Nothing spectacular and the kimchi was sweetish. I don't think we'll be back.

I can only tell you if you want authentic Korean food you will find it here. The owner is a wonderful Korean lady. The food is absolutely amazing! The restaurant is a very nice relaxing place with excellent. And everything is always very clean. Of all the restaurants I've been to around the world, this is my favorite.

This place did not disappoint. As a newcomer to the area was looking for somewhere close to the airbase to grab some good food. I did a local search and found Arirang. I must admit pulling up to the place I was a little hesitant as others have mentioned in their reviews. Haha. Thanks to the guy who posted that his wife convinced him to go in I did the same with my husband. Everyone that greeted was welcoming and friendly. The owners even gave us some great wine recommendations. If you are looking for authentic Korean food this is the spot.

The food here was so good! We got the kimchi pajeon, jajangmyeon, and chicken ginseng soup. So yummy! The owner was also super nice! Definitely recommend!

Thought it was related to the TV channel arirang but it is still good here regardless. Cozy style restaurant with food that feels very homemade.

Really good Korean food. My only pet peeve is too much onions on the fried rice, I love onions, but when there's more of it than rice is not good.

Service is prompt and the servers are always so friendly and polite. The food is always superb every visit! I love their specialty spicy chicken with scorched rice, seafood pancake, complimentary kimchi and banchan.

Excellent Korean restaurant with great service and vegan options.I have fairly extensive experience with Korean restaurants, having worked for a Korean company and spent months in Seoul.The banchan (small side-dishes) were worth coming to eat by themselves and we only had the vegan compatible versions. I have zero doubt that the rest would have been off the chain as well.Our group had two vegan dishes and two seafood dishes, both were very tasty and well prepared.The owners are fun and my wife said it was the warmest dining experience she's ever had, it felt more like being in a good friend's home and I agree.Very much recommended!
